"Sparkling Waters" is an acrylic painting embellished with

beautiful colorful jewels, rhinestones, and sparkling glitter of many colors.

It is an 11" x 14" painting and beautifully framed.

This painting is a one of a kind and will never be copied for print purposes.

 

"Sparkling Waters" was delivered today to

Gallery 14 at 1911 24th Avenue, Vero Beach, Fl 32960

 

It will be displayed from Tuesday December 2, 2014 -

Saturday January 3, 2015 

 

RECEPTION to be held Fridays: December 5 and January 2nd, 5-8pm.

 

This is a very prestigious juried exhibit and sale for the benefit of

the Environmental Learning Center in

Wabasso Beach, Florida

 

The Environmental Learning Center's mission is to provide

 stimulating environmental educational programs that instill an understanding of the

natural world, enrich peoples lives, and inspire

participants to be active stewards of the surrounding natural resources.

I have been there many times with my two grand daughters

and by myself or with others.

It is a wonderful place to go to.  I so enjoy meandering along

their many docks and waterways throughout this beautiful place.

 

I am excited and proud to be displaying  my "Sparkling Waters" at Gallery 14 in Vero Beach

"A Wonderful Summer - 2013"

It's been another wonderful year at the

Sebastian River Art Club

in

Sebastian, Florida

 

Often times, in the summer, at the Sebastian River Art Club

Grandchildren get to come with their MeMaws and Na Na's and Paw Paw's.

 

There were three children in particular that ran and played the days away while myself and other

art club members painted their days away.  I couldn't help but notice the

individuality of each one of them.  Sparkly, color wise, and so smart with their playtime.

Yes, I just had to paint them.  They were so much fun to do and

all my paintings seem to lead to more commissioned work.

Thank you kids for the wonderful summer.

 "Leah's Daughter"

This painting is an 11" x 14" acrylic on canvas board.

It has been one of the most enjoyable paintings that I have done.

The true reward was the happiness of Leah and her family when they saw it.

Underpainting

Determining Values with under painting

 I paint with acrylic paint.  And the subject of under painting?

All my painting start with an under painting.  

I don't do it in the traditional way though.  Well I may not eve know for sure

what the traditional way is because I am not a trained painter.

I under paint all my painting in thin layers of colors

that I will be used in the same colors that will  complete the painting.

Not being an educated painter I'm guessing when I say that

under painting is used to determine if you have you paint value correct.

I never seemed to need to know if it was correct or not because

The Values in my paintings always seem to appear correctly for me anyway.

So hear you go.

"Richard's Grand Kids"

Beautiful Children

It took me quite a while to paint these beautiful little children.

Inspite of a family trauma, a month long trip to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains,

and a very nice month long trip to Tallahassee.

Now these wonderful delightful paintings are now in the hands of Richard.

The Grandfather and a very long time friend of 51 years.

Wow.

I'm the one to be bursting with pride.

"Ilknur Koseler Bakis" by Peni Baker

Art by Peni Baker proudly presents "Ilknur Koseler Bakis".

This is a 10" x 10" acrylic gallery wrapped canvas.

Ilknur is a women that I found on facebook under "Artist"

She does such enchanting pieces of art herself that I decided

I wanted to have her as a friend on facebook just so I could keep up with her

wonderful artwork.

After receiving her acceptance, I saw that she had a really pleasant and inviting face.

A face that should be painted.

So here she is.

Ilknur is from the beautiful city of Izmir, Turkey.
I am now facebook friends with her best friend, her sister, another very good friend,
and a fellow artist who paints with her.
